DosKiwis Brewing

We create modern and accessible beers, full of flavor, using only the highest quality ingredients to offer an unmistakable experience in every glass. Since 2019, we have been brewing beer in Rupià, Baix Empordà – a quiet village between Girona, the Pyrenees and the Costa Brava. In 2016, we (Judit, from Llofriu, Baix Empordà and Michael, from New Zealand, the “Kiwi”) created the DosKiwis concept with the idea of brewing the beers we wanted to drink ourselves, but couldn't find locally in the Empordà. At the end of 2017, we found exactly what we were looking for: an old barn turned antique shop, empty but full of potential. After more than a year of work, we officially opened our doors on a cold night in February 2019, with only three beers on tap and a single table in the garden. Today we have ten beers on tap – some fixed and some rotating – always brewed right here by our small and passionate team, and we also serve Ambient coffee, kombucha, natural wine and an informal seasonal menu perfect for enjoying in our garden. Looking to the future, our goal is simple: to keep learning, improving, and brewing the best possible beers, while having a positive impact on our community and the environment. With little money, we got to work and with the help of friends and family, we transformed the premises into the brewery, taproom, and garden that are our home today.
