Craft brewery founded in 2015 in the Polígono Hytasa in Seville, considered the largest craft brewery in Andalusia and a benchmark in southern Spain. Behind the project is Eloy del Río, head brewer and co-founder, trained at the Institute of Brewing and Distilling (UK) and the University of Alicante, with experience at the Birrificio Amiata (Tuscany, Italy) and as a BJCP judge. They are committed to balanced and fresh beers, with a catalog ranging from crisp lagers to intensely hopped IPAs and imperial stouts of up to 13%. They collaborate as "nomads" with brands such as Malandar, Attik Brewing, Little Rain Brewing, La Reina del Soho, or La Pulga Brewing. The great differentiator of Río Azul is its taproom: an industrial warehouse full of urban art (murals by local artists), a terrace, kitchen, and easy parking. It is a space designed for beer culture: it hosts private events for up to 100 people (birthdays, corporate gatherings, and even small weddings). Their star experience is the tasting guided by Eloy himself: a factory tour with a tasting of 5 beers paired with 5 tapas, lasting 2.5 hours and priced between €28 and €38 depending on the number of beers. They also organize private tastings for groups starting at 15 people. The quality of the project is endorsed by the Solete from the Guía Repsol and by press such as Traveler, ABC de Sevilla, or Caña Magazine. Online sales available on their website.
